May 19th: To Mt. Hongu.
The chief priest guided us to the site of Shohoji Temple (the predecessor of Enjoji Temple, built about 1,300 years ago during the Nara period) near the summit of Mt. Hongu.
We also visited the Ryūōgu Shrine at the top of the mountain to pray for winds abd rain in order, and protection from global warming. At the same time, we also thought about environmental issues and changes in the ecosystem.

2015 Hongusan. Finally This year marks the 1300th anniversary of the founding of the mountain.
