A brush memorial service was held

A brush memorial service was held at Enjoji Temple to express gratitude for the many years of labor of the brushes that were no longer in use, and to pray for improvement in calligraphy.
About 500 brushes were donated from Okayama, Kurashiki, Kasaoka, etc., and they were offered on the goma altar with the recitation of sutras by the head priest Amakusa Shintai.

Daiba Shrine Spring Festival

The event will be held on April 29th (Monday/Holiday) for the first time in 5 years. Following the Goma prayer at 11:00 a.m., there will be piano performances, Onidaiko drumming, a shrine parade, and a procession of children. There will also be special exhibition sales.
We are looking for children. 20 children, both male and female, with a height of 150 cm or less. Registration will close as soon as capacity is reached.

Unfortunately, it started raining around noon, earlier than predicted, but the ceremony was held with great enthusiasm.
Memorial service for the dolls.

On March 3rd, we held a memorial service for the dolls. Approximately 700 old dolls and other items were donated from all over the prefecture, displayed in the main hall, chanted with sutras, and then placed in the flames of the gomadan in the temple grounds. You can see 2013 and 2014 patterns here.
(Next event: The Daiba Shrine Spring Festival is scheduled for the first time in five years on April 29th).
Setsubun walk wearing a mask

We are currently recruiting participants for Setsubun Walking on February 3rd. At 9:30 a.m., gather at Enjo Furusatomura parking lot. Wearing a mask associated with Setsubun, we will be visiting historic sites such as Enjoji Temple. After the finish line, a bean-throwing and mochi-throwing event will be held at noon on the grounds of Enjo-ji Temple. The temple will prepare the masks. free. Canceled in case of stormy weather. --This event has ended.
